General information
Mongolian Mining Corporation (“MMC” or the “Company”; listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, stock code: 975) is a leading producer and exporter of high-quality coking coal in Mongolia. The Company owns and operates two open-pit coking coal mines—Ukhaa Khudag and Baruun Naran—both located in the Umnugobi aimag of Mongolia.
Since its establishment as a greenfield project in 2009, MMC has rapidly developed into a world-class mining complex. Leveraging its premium-quality coal products, internationally aligned project development standards, and effective management practices, the Company has established itself as the largest producer and exporter of washed coal in Mongolia.
In 2010, just one year after commencing operations, MMC was successfully listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the first Mongolian company to offer its shares on an international stock exchange.
By integrating its coal mining operations with advanced technologies and global best practices, MMC achieved one of the fastest ramp-ups of mining operations in the country. Its strategic location near the Chinese border and close proximity to its target markets provide the Company with a competitive cost structure and a significant advantage in international markets.
While continuing to strengthen its position as a reliable supplier of high-quality coking coal and enhance its global competitiveness, MMC is steadily building a fully integrated platform encompassing mining, processing, transportation, and marketing.
